Her PLT directing credits include: Twelve Angry Jurors, The Sound of Music, The Night of Jan. 16th, Sabrina Fair, The Foreigner, An Ideal Husband, Lost in Texas, When Bullfrogs Sing Opera, Pride and Prejudice, She Stoops to Conquer, Idiot’s Delight, Before We Say Good-bye, Bus Stop, You Can’t Take it With You, The Miss Firecraker Contest, Heaven Can Wait, Philadelphia Story, Crimes of the Heart, Other People’s Money, Alice in Wonderland, and others.
In New York City, Katie directed The Wrong Side of the Spade for Kaleidoscope Theatre and 77MLK Stop at New Dramatists.
She has also directed Hello, Dolly!, Dial M for Murder, Ankle Deep In Rough Water, Misanthrope, Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean... at Clear Creek Community Theatre; Prelude to a Kiss, They All Have Their Entrances, and The Actor’s Nightmare at USA Theatre; Talley’s Folly, Period of Adjustment, and Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf at the Actors Conservatory of Texas; The Importance of Being Earnest, A Coupla White Chicks..., Lone Star, Winter Winds and Southern Comfort, and Fool for Love at other Houston area theatres.
When she isn’t directing or acting, she’s backstage doing the sets,
lights, costumes, and more.
Katie has been on our board of directors since 1982.
As the workshop manager, she invites all the kids from 5 - 17
to our children’s acting workshops in July.
She is a co-editor of The PLT Call Board.
Another exciting challenge for Katie, lies in the classroom
at Clear Lake High School where she teaches communications.
